We understand that you can't always make it to the library, so here are some great resources to learn and enjoy books at home! Check back later; more resources coming soon.

Internet Access at Home for Remote Learning

If you need access to internet at home during this time of hardship, Comcast is providing a 60 Day Free trial of its Internet Essentials service to qualifying low-income families. This service is normally $9.95/month for all qualified households. Please check the Internet Essentials by Comcast website for more information on this service.

Charter Communications and Spectrum have also offered a 60 day free trial to households with students in K-12 or college who do not already have internet at home. For more information you can check the Charter Communications website or call 1-844-488-8395.

Author and Illustrator Visits

Author and illustrator Mo Willems is hosting a daily Lunch Doodle on the Kennedy Center's website. Episodes are posted each weekday at 1 p.m.

You can tune into illustrator Jarrett J. Krosocka's YouTube channel every weekday at 2 p.m. ET for art lessons!

Find author Oliver Jeffers on Instagram every day at 2 p.m., reading one his books!

On Fridays at 8 a.m., author and illustrator Dav Pilkey will release a new video on the Library of Congress and Scholastic websites as part of his Dav Pilkey at Home series for children and families.

Story Time! from Penguin Kids will be live every weekday at 11 a.m. on Instagram and Facebook. Keep an eye out on their feeds for Read Together, Be Together announcements. Every weekday at 3pm, they've partnered with celebrities to read a book on their Instagram or Facebook accounts.

HarperKids from Home is available on FacebookInstagramTwitter, and YouTube every weekday at noon!.

Random House Kids is featuring a #ReadTogetherBeTogether Storytime weekdays at 3 p.m. Visit their Facebook page for a listing of authors and illustrators, as well as directions on where to view the storytime.

If you can't find stories you love, just check out #OperationStorytime on your favorite social media to find a growing collection of authors and illustrators reading their own books.
