ACTIVITY: Design an animal trading card (featuring adaptations) from one of these groups: mammals, birds, fish, reptiles, amphibians, or insects.
Recommended materials: blank index cards, pencils, crayons/colored pencils
Adaptations are any behaviors or physical traits of an animal that help it to survive in its environment. An example of a physical adaptation is camouflage, when an animal changes its color to match its surroundings. Camouflage allows an animal to hide from potential predators.
