Zoom Participation Guidelines

When participating in a virtual library program via Zoom meeting, participants are expected to adhere to the same code of conduct that would apply for an in-person program. Policies for use of library services, including the NSU Libraries Code of Conduct, may be found at

Zoom provides the capability for users to share video, audio, and text with others. Accordingly, proper behavior is expected of all participants. Any inappropriate behaviors (including—but not limited to— offensive or threatening language and inappropriate use of visual media) will result in the participant being removed from the program and possible exclusion from future virtual programming.

Participants may choose to utilize video, audio and chat to participate in virtual programming. Please note that use of video and audio are not required for attendance. Library staff reserve the right to mute/stop video of participants as needed.

To protect the privacy of participants under the age of 18, all Zoom meetings will include security measures such as a waiting room or password protection, so only pre-registered participants may attend.
